Aham Brahmasmi - Day 4

Image
I take the liberty to translate 'Aham Brahmasmi' as 'You Be the Creator of Yourself'. In order to be that we need to be part of the creator in unison and be selfless by giving up selfishness. Each one of us has the power of creation within ourselves. We can create whatever we imagine and work towards it. Every living organism has this power of creating a better future within themselves. You make your own personality, physique, career, social life and everything else of your future self. Try planting a sapling or sowing a seed for your own food. The pleasure of seeing what you sow growing and finally coming to you as your food must be an amazing experience. Nobody can grant you this pleasure and satisfaction because you only have to do it all by yourself to feel it and nobody can take it away from you because you yourself has already seen it and it already happened in front of your eyes. Every time God wanted to do something good to the world, he didn't do it all b...

Our rally started from Gandhi Mango Tree compound in Payyannur @ around 8:45 am on April 7th - 3rd day of the rally. From morning I was not feeling well with partially due to lack of sleep and slight rise in temperature as well. We stopped and travelled through Ezhilode @ around 9 am, Pilatthara @ 9:30 am, Pazhayangadi @ 10 am and reached our reception centre Cherukunnu @ 11 am, where the District Committee had organized the reception. From there the rally stopped and crossed through Puthiyatheru, Kannur town, Chakkarakal and reached Mayyil @ 6 pm. Since I was completely down with fever, I haven't got down in any of these places and was taking rest inside the tempo traveller.   But I don't know, after reaching the interior villages of Kayaralam - Keezhalamvayal some kind of energy boosted me up, I just came out of the vehicle and helped the guys to put up the posters and display items. Even though it was getting darker, people have poured ...

The hearing ear and seeing eye - Day 2

I don't know by when I had slept. The previous night was a sleepless one both because of the mosquitoes and the 24/7 Bhajan @ the Ashram. Since we had to start early that morning, I made sure that   I don't delay, took bath, had quick breakfast with 2 plates of Dosas and bid adieu to Ashram and the school premises @ Uppala. Just to make sure that we doff the old at every place we stay, someone had religiously left their undies and obviously no claimant for the left out. Our next destination was Kasaragod town, even though it was quite early to start off our campaign, considering that we had to cover few more places that day, people were divided into teams of two to start our book sales and were given 10 sets of 5 books each costing Rs80 per set and the tempo traveller stopped @ Oppumaram (Signature tree), a venue of a series of anti-endosulfan agitations, near the new bus-station premises in Kasaragod. Even though there were not many people to buy the books since it was op...

Baptism by Soil - Day 1

I have taken this first step towards organic and natural farming with full conviction and there is no looking back. After resigning from CSC, instead of just lazing around, what I have done was to order some self-help books of Robin Sharma (The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari and Who Will Cry When You Die?), Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist and my Manasa Guru and Guide of farming Masanobu Fukuoka’s The One-Straw Revolution, The Road Back To Nature and The Natural Way of Farming. This late realization on purpose of my life must be triggered by the movie that I watched recent ly  and that is  Sean Penn’s Into The Wild, true story of Christopher McCandless (played by Emile Hirsch). Thank you Ganesh, my mone for everything. You are my best friend, brother and teacher. I dedicate these scribbling to you since you were the only one who understood and supported me completely throughout and the one behind encouraging me to write this journal too. When I recall, I have always fascin...
